Dawn of Dystopia

This piece was featured in a Zine published by Character Creation Hub, with the theme being Dystopia.
I knew I wanted to draw something with heavy machinery and lots of wires. My main goal for this work was to highlight the body horror and inhumane aspects of a dystopian world. Dehumanizing a person, and making them into the "perfect" machine is what comes to mind for the theme.
Dawn of Dystopia features my character, Dawn, who was created by a totalitarian government that aims to keep everyone under their control. I had a lot of fun working on and capturing the essence of this piece, and my favorite element is how the neon light contrasts against the dark, slate background, which creates a spotlight on the character.
